Terms of use — Using Game Picker

These terms govern the use of https://gamepicker.lol and its features (account, rooms, alerts, Discord bot), published by Yoan BISOGNO. By creating an account you accept them.

1. Purpose of the service

Game Picker is a recommendation tool: it pulls a video game according to your settings (mood, available time, players, platform…), shows information and store links, and offers optional features (account, history, price alerts, rooms with friends, Discord bot). It does not sell games: purchases happen on third-party stores under their own terms.

2. Access and account

Pulls are available without an account. An account (e-mail + password, or created automatically on purchase) is required to keep your history across devices and for the Premium features described in the terms of sale. The service is intended for people aged 15 and over. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for actions taken from your account. Accounts are personal and not to be shared.

3. Rules of use

The following are prohibited: automating requests (scripts, bots) beyond normal personal use, circumventing limits or payment, systematically copying the catalogue, attempting to access other people’s data, and using rooms to share unlawful or abusive content (room nicknames are visible to other participants). The public API documented at /api is for reasonable, non-commercial use; contact the publisher for anything else.

4. Termination

By you: at any time from the account menu (“Delete my account”) or by e-mail to bisogno.yoan@gmail.com. The account, history, feedback, alerts and Steam data are erased immediately; purchase records are kept for the legal period. A Premium unlock tied to a deleted account is not refunded or transferred, except as provided in the terms of sale.

By the publisher: in case of serious breach of the rules of use, after an e-mail warning unless urgent. A Premium member whose account is closed through no fault of their own is refunded.

5. Intellectual property

The site, its name, interface, texts and code belong to the publisher; reproduction beyond private use requires permission. Game information belongs to its rights holders and comes from RAWG, IGDB, Steam and SteamSpy. What you enter (nickname, feedback) remains yours; you grant the publisher the right to use it to operate the service.

6. Liability and availability

Recommendations, prices, availability and descriptions are indicative and come from third-party sources; check the store before buying. The service is provided “as is”, with possible interruptions (maintenance, outages, hosting). The publisher is not liable for third-party sites nor for data loss due to force majeure, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.

7. Changes

These terms may evolve with the service; the dated online version applies. Substantial changes are announced on the site or by e-mail if you have an account; you may then delete your account if you disagree.

8. Governing law

French law applies. In case of dispute, contact bisogno.yoan@gmail.com first; failing agreement you may use the consumer mediator named in the terms of sale free of charge, or the competent courts.
